Description:

This trail is named after the Pileated woodpecker, the largest woodpecker in the USA. There are several nesting pair in the park. Check out the series of interpretive signs related to the animals and plants of the park. This trail is easy to access and is the most frequently used trail in the park. It is just the right length for younger kids to get a taste of the forest experience.

Over the creeks and through the hardwood forest, Pileated Trail leads you from the amphitheater to the Nature Center.
