White Tail Deer

Mephitis mephitis.

The park has a heard of approximately 100 white tail deer (Odocoileus virginianus). They are most active in the early morning and early evening, although it is not unusual to encounter them at any time. They like to stay in groups. Bucks shed antlers every spring.
